Vintage MK Revival - 12 Days of Christmas

I used to have over 30 videos on my YouTube account, and I took all of them down when I had my account restricted by YouTube for copyright issues. I have had a few of you ask of me to re-post these videos and am happy to say I can post them here without fear of YouTube taking them down.

As a first request, my friend Tommy requested I put up the 12 Days of Christmas video. This video has been a Christmas tradition in my family for years now. A few years ago I edited it and gave it to my sister for her birthday. We now watch it every Christmas eve and have a good hearty laugh. I was such a showoff. Sorry in advance for my hammy-ness. :)

If there is another video you would like to request, post a comment to this blog and I'll see what I can do.

Motivation - The Never Ending Struggle

I often get discouraged, and worry that I will never really feel extremely motivated. I forget that this is a lifelong struggle for a lot of us. I am throwing an open question out to you: What do you do to motivate yourself to get going or to work on something you don't really want to do?

Like the greatest procrastinators of all time, I usually distract myself with something I'd RATHER do instead of what I SHOULD be doing. That is classic procrastination, no?

I figured out a positive way to procrastinate... but it can backfire. I've learned to give myself another choice of something else I'm procrastinating and decide to do the "lesser of two evils". It works pretty well.

An example is cleaning my office. If I'd rather not clean my office, I give myself another choice of cleaning my bathroom. I'd rather clean my office than clean my bathroom - so I end up cleaning my office to procrastinate cleaning my bathroom. Then, when I think of exercising - I will clean my bathroom before going for a walk. It can be bad if there is something I REALLY don't want to do, because I think of a million other things I can do instead. This is where things fall through the cracks.

What do you do to motivate yourself? Do you have a similar form of distraction? This form is not always positive, but it works for me. Now that I've distracted myself from cleaning my office and then working, I think I'll get up and go clean the bathroom so I can exercise. ;)

A New Year, A New Vlog!

Hi Friends!

Here we are at 2010! I thought we'd have flying cars by now. Oh well, my zippy Toyota will have to do.

I made a new Vlog, it's kind of long - but if you view from 2:25 you will have a good laugh. Enjoy!

Sunday Song

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! I have had a really good weekend. On Friday night I had a fun dinner party with one of my friends from work and his wife. We had grilled salmon, grilled shrimp skewers, steak fillets, asparagus, fresh squash from the garden, CHEESY RICE, and delicious rolls! It was really good. Salmon is one of my favorite foods, and I got that from my dad. After dinner we played two games: Wacky 6s and Chicken Foot dominoes. Have you ever played these games? They are so fun!

Wacky 6s is this intense card game where you combine the speed game with solitare... it's really fun, and you have to be a good multitasker to do well. Unfortunately, I lost every game beacuse of how tired I was. I spend all week at work multitasking, and so after work I usually shut that part of my brain down. ;) It's the kind of game that I would like to play by myself for a few hours to really get good... and then bring it to the table with other people!!

Chicken Foot dominoes is extremely addicting. Whenever my family gets together we play it together. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's really fun. After dominoes, we had dessert and played some Guitar Hero on Wii. All in all it was a total blast!

Saturday we spent the day getting some stuff for our basement. We are finishing it ourselves, and so we needed to get some floorboards and grout for the tile. I will for sure post a video when everything is finished. It's going to be nice to have a basement to go relax in. :)

My husband introduced me to this intense new band called Owl City. Have you heard of them? It's kind of like the Postal Service if you've ever heard them. There are a few songs I love, like Fireflies and Hello Seattle. Check out their music on iTunes or MySpace! Owl City on MySpace

Have a great new week!

Welcome to MissKrispy's Blog!

Hello YouTube friends!

Welcome to my blog.  I am so excited you've migrated over here from YouTube.  I hoped that a few of you might stop by and leave a comment to say hello.

The purpose of this blog is to begin to connect with you through a different forum.  I have been making movies on YouTube for 2 years now, and I hope this new way of connecting will work for both of us.

Like I said in my latest video, I want some of you to help me with this blog.  I think some of the best blogs out there allow for others to guest blog and share their experiences too.  With the community we have built on YouTube, this is a great place for all to come and share best practices.

What will you see on this blog?  Everything.  I hope to bring funny, exciting, hopeful, encouraging, and real things to you as often as I can.  Through video, pictures and words.  Please add this page to your favorites!  If you would like to be a guest blogger, please leave a comment and I will contact you through Blogger!  :)

To end this new post in this new year, I would like to upload a new version of my favorite YouTube movie called "Change is Possible".  Enjoy!

The video shows a white screen - just click "play" below.
